Fr. Scott Trotter comes to St. Peter’s Episcopal Church

Rev Trotter and AngieThe Rev. Scott Trotter addressed his new congregation for the first time Sunday, January 13, as he began his ministry at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Bon Secour. A reception was held Sunday to introduce him to members of the parish.
Fr. Trotter most recently served Holy Cross Episcopal Church in West Memphis, Arkansas. .He is a graduate of Emory University and The School of Theology at the University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee. He was a seminary classmate of the Rev. Keith Talbert of Foley and the Rev. Margaret Shepherd of Robertsdale.
He has served Episcopal Churches in Jasper, Georgia, in the mountains of West Virginia, and most recently in the delta of Arkansas.
He and his wife, Angie, are the parents of two daughters, Ginny of the Orlando, Florida, area, and Michelle, a student at Memphis University. TheTrotters will live in Bon Secour.
Paul Kaiser, senior warden, said the Rev. Trotter’s arrival at the beginning of the new year is cause for celebration at St. Peter’s Church. “We are happy to welcome the Trotters to the church family and to the community,” he said, “and we look forward to the leadership they will bring to our church.”
St. Peter’s Episcopal Church is located in Bon Secour at the intersection of County Roads 10 and 49. Holy Eucharist is celebrated on Sunday mornings at 8 and 10.
